- Your passwords stay on your own devices
- No ads, and we never sell your information
Made to be used together
How it works for families
OurLogins is made for parents and their grown-up children. You set it up together, and then it’s yours to use on your own.
- 1
Set it up together
Sit down with your son, daughter or grandchild. They install OurLogins on your computer and help you choose one master password. It’s the only password you’ll need to remember from now on.
- 2
Bring in your passwords
Type them in one at a time, or bring them all in at once from an Excel spreadsheet. OurLogins then helps you print an Emergency Kit to keep with your important papers.
- 3
Use it on your own
Need your bank password? Type “bank” and there it is. Adding a new one takes a moment. And if you ever get stuck, your family or a real person here can help.
For the family who helps
Share a vault, such as “Family” or “Mom’s accounts”, so you can look up the electric company’s login without a phone call. Changes show up for both of you. You each keep your own master password, and your other vaults stay private.
Private by design
Your passwords stay yours
If you’ve been hacked before, or worry that you might be, you’re not alone. OurLogins was built so that only you can open your passwords.
Kept at home, not in our cloud
Your passwords live on your own computer and phone. They aren’t stored in some company’s cloud, and OurLogins works even without the internet.
Two keys, and you hold both
Your passwords open only with your master password and your Secret Key, a long code made on your own computer. Someone who got hold of the file would still need both.
Scrambled from end to end
OurLogins encrypts your passwords. That means it scrambles them so only your own devices can read them. When your devices share changes, they stay scrambled the whole way, so nobody in between can read them, including us.
No ads, no tracking, nothing sold
We don’t show ads, we don’t follow what you do, and we never sell or share your information. We can’t see your passwords at all.
Everything you need
Simple to use, every day
Find any password fast
Type a few letters, like “pharm”, and your pharmacy login is right there. Copy it, or let OurLogins fill it in.
Fills in websites for you
On a website’s sign-in page, click the OurLogins button in your browser and press Fill. It only offers the logins you saved for that website.
A strong password for every website
OurLogins can make a new, strong password for each website and remember it for you, so a break-in at one website can’t open your other accounts.
Bring your spreadsheet
Already keep your passwords in Excel? Bring them in. You see every login before it’s added, and OurLogins never changes your file.
Backups you can hold
Make a locked backup onto a USB stick. It opens on Windows and Mac.
Help from a real person

Questions parents ask
Good questions, plain answers
I’m not good with computers. Can I really use this?
Yes. OurLogins was made for people who don’t want to fuss with technology. It uses plain words, not computer jargon. Someone in your family helps you set it up once, and after that most days it’s just: type a name, find your password.
What if I forget my master password?
Nobody can open your passwords without it, not even us. That’s what keeps them safe. So write your master password down and keep it somewhere safe at home, such as with your Emergency Kit and other important papers.
Can my children see my passwords?
Only the ones you choose to share. You decide which vault to share, and with whom. Everything else stays private to you, and you each keep your own master password.
Are my passwords stored in the cloud?
No. Your passwords are kept on your own computer and phone. When your devices need to pass changes to each other, the changes are scrambled first, so we can’t read them. If one device is switched off, the change waits on our server, still sealed, until it’s picked up.
What if my computer is lost or stolen?
A thief would need both your master password and your Secret Key to open your passwords. To get them back on a new computer, use your Emergency Kit along with a backup, or your phone or another computer that already has them.
I’ve been hacked before. Will this help?
It can help a lot. Many break-ins happen because the same password is used on many websites. OurLogins makes a different strong password for each one and remembers them all, so you don’t have to.
Who do I ask if I get stuck?
Ask the family member who helped you set it up, or email us at privacy@ourlogins.com. A real person will write back. Our help page has step-by-step guides too.
What do you know about me?
When you install OurLogins, it asks for your email address, and once a day it tells us the date it was last opened. There’s no account to log into, and we never see your passwords. Read exactly what we keep, and how to delete it.
Is OurLogins ready to use?
OurLogins is new. Right now it’s an early test release: the downloads aren’t signed yet, and it hasn’t had an independent security review. Our security page explains how it works, so you or someone you trust can judge it.
